Do The Right Thing recognizes and rewards Collier County area youth for exemplary behavior, accomplishments, good deeds and acts of heroism through a unique partnership with the Collier County Sheriff's Office.
The program focuses on the good these students do on a daily basis.
CCSO has honored hundreds of children in monthly ceremonies to recognize and reinforce good behavior and making a difference in their communities. Each ceremony allows parents, deputies, teachers and others to nominate students for Doing The Right Thing. A selection committee reviews the nominations and selects 10 or more finalists for each ceremony who are honored at Lorenzo Walker Technical High. This partnership has been so valuable over the years and CCSO will continue to partner with LWTH.
CCSO conducts five to six ceremonies throughout the school year. Each ceremony honors students ranging from elementary level through high-school level. All students are considered winners and rewarded a certificate and letter of recognition.
To nominate a student who is Doing The Right Thing, please fill out the form below. Please be as detailed as possible and make sure that your contact information is correct should more details be needed.
