There were 419,081 calls for service in 2017. Reflected in our calls for service are the number of times CCSO responds to a citizen complaint or initiates investigative action There were 140,391 9‐1‐1 calls in 2017. There were 378 texts sent to 9‐1‐1 in 2017.
Community Engagement Our Facebook total outreach was 3.5 million likes. Our Top Posts were the “Reality Check” posts during Hurricane Irma, which reached more than 536,000 followers. Our Top Video was aerial footage of Marco Island after Hurricane Irma, which received 146,000 views and 1,300 shares. Our Twitter Total Outreach was 3.7 million Impressions. Our top tweet was of the Collier County wildfire evacuation map, which reached more than 120,000 followers.

Traffic Stats Crash Stats for 2016 and 2017 There were 9,722 crashes in 2016 and 10,052 in 2017, showing a 3 percent increase. There 35 fatalities in 2016 and 25 in 2017, showing a 29 percent decrease. There were 31 fatal crashes in 2016 and 24 in 2017, showing a 23 percent decrease. There were 227 DUI crashes in 2016 and 212 in 2017, showing a 7 percent decrease. There were 963 distracted driving crashes in 2016 and 1,134 in 2017, showing an 18 percent increase. Enforcement stats for 2016 and 2017 There were 13,652 citations in 2016 and 15,709 in 2017, showing a 15 percent increase. There were 45,284 warnings in 2016 and 41,587 in 2017, showing an 8 percent decrease. There were 801 DUI arrests in 2016 and 637 in 2017, showing a 20 percent decrease.
Crime Prevention Deputies presented at 1,423 community events and conducted more than 113 commercial and residential security surveys.
123 CCSO volunteers worked a total of 29,183 hours saving taxpayers $704,478. The national value of volunteer time is $24.14 per hour according to www.independentsector.org
