- Patrols rural Collier County
- Assists in search and rescue
- Handles livestock and wildlife complaints and concerns
- Works with state and federal wildlife agencies
Deputies in the Agriculture Unit can be seen driving 4-by-4 trucks and airboats, and riding ATVs and horses.
This part-time unit is made up of full-time deputies and volunteers and their horses.
The horses are used for security and crowd control, as well as community policing, parades and public relations functions.
