Chief Roberts is in his 32nd year of service with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office and is the current Chief of Corrections, holding the rank of Major.
Chief Roberts spent over 20 years of his career in the Investigations Department and was the Captain of the Special Investigations Division when he became Chief of Corrections in 2013. Since returning to Corrections, Chief Roberts has achieved the coveted designation of Certified Jail Manager from the American Jail Association, and Certified Corrections Executive from the American Corrections Association.
Chief Roberts holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, a Bachelor’s Degree in Management and an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice. He is also a graduate of the University of Louisville’s Command Officers Development Course, the DEA Drug Unit Commanders Academy and the FBI National Academy.
Chief Roberts is active in the community on the boards of Project Help and the Department of Juvenile Justice Advisory Council, and was recently selected as a Commissioner for the Florida Corrections Accreditation Commission.
