According to statistics, nearly 3,000 children are reported missing every day in the United States.
Research has also shown that it is critical for parents and law enforcement to have fingerprints, vital statistics and a current photo on hand to use for comparison when a missing child is believed found.
Taking action now could save precious time later in the event of an emergency. If a child is missing, law enforcement agencies will need an immediate and accurate detailed description of the child and a quick easy way to identify them.
One of the most important tools for law enforcement to use in the recovery of a missing child is an up-to-date, good quality photograph, along with descriptive information. CCSO provides child fingerprinting services. Parents who attend a CCSO child ID event will receive a 10-digit fingerprint profile and a high-resolution full-color digital photo of their child that can be used nationwide to find missing and exploited children.
