A) Basics of CPR and AED will provide participants with an overview of the importance and requirements of CPR, and provide instruction on performing CPR and how to use an AED. CPR certification is not part of class.

B) Crime Prevention and Not Becoming a Victim Post-Disaster will provide participants with an overview of the most common crimes that place in the county, and those that typically occur after major weather incidents.

C) Stop the Bleeding and ... will introduce participants to the three leading causes of preventable death, including uncontrolled bleeding from the extremities, chest/torso injuries, and airway compromise.

D) Emergency Messaging will instruct participants in how to report emergencies and request help, and teach how emergency reporting systems integrate into overall emergency services and first responders.

E) Recovery after the Hurricane will provide participants with tips on what actions to take for themselves and family members following a hurricane, plus learn how to identify potential hazards at and around the home.

F) Mental Health and Disasters will introduce participants to the different components of mental health and provide training on stress management techniques and building resilience before incidents occur.
