Deputies Searching For Bank Robber In Golden Gate

Deputies are searching for a robber who held up a Golden Gate bank this morning.
The robbery was reported at 10:10 a.m. at the Bank of America branch at 12965 Collier Blvd. in the Brooks Village shopping plaza. Detectives said a man walked up to a teller and handed a note demanding money.
The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash. He left the bank on foot and headed north.
No injuries were reported.
Deputies, assisted by the CCSO Drone, K9 and Aviation units, are out searching the surrounding area.
Detectives said the robber is described as white. He was wearing eyeglasses, a black and white ball cap, a green long sleeve shirt with a white T-shirt underneath, and blue jeans.
Detectives have released bank surveillance images of the suspect in the hope someone will recognize him and contact law enforcement.
An investigation continues.
