Corkscrew Middle Student Arrested For Having Knife At School
A Corkscrew Middle School student was arrested Monday after a knife was found in his locker.
Camden Massiate, 13, of 66th Ave. N.E., was charged with possession of a weapon on school grounds, which is a felony.
The locker was searched after school administrators and Collier County Sheriff’s Office Youth Relations Bureau deputies received a tip that Camden had posted a photo of a weapon on social media over the weekend. The photo was of the student holding a semi-automatic firearm. The people who reported the information said there were no threats accompanying the photo.
This investigation remains active.
Under Florida law the name and address of a juvenile charged with a felony offense is public record.
