General Crimes Bureau: investigates homicides, aggravated assaults, aggravated battery, burglary, robbery, auto theft, grand theft, shootings with no death, arson, felony and criminal mischief
Special Crimes Bureau: investigates missing persons, sex offenses, human trafficking, domestic violence, elderly abuse and exploitation
Financial Crimes Bureau: investigates fraudulent schemes, embezzlement, credit card and check fraud, elderly financial fraud, computer crimes, public corruption, election law violations, sunshine law violations, investment fraud, identity theft
Crime Scene Bureau: The Crime Scene Bureau responds to crime scenes throughout Collier County. The Crime Scene Investigator is responsible for scene documentation, processing and evidence recovery. In addition, the CSO will document, process and package items of evidence for lab submission and court proceedings.
Bureau of Technical Services: The Bureau of Technical Services consists of the Identification Section and Property Section.
The Identification Section: is responsible for the examination of latent fingerprints from crimes. This area's responsibility is comparision of ten print records to confirm the identity and record of arrested individuals and to assist with the resolution of stolen identity issues.
The Property Section: is where all evidence taken in by the Collier County Sheriff Office is maintained for prosecution. The items housed have to be kept in a strictly controlled area that has the proper facilities to maintain the items for forensic examination.
