SUMMARY: The Collier County Sheriff’s Office and the Jewish Federation of Greater Naples will partner for the third year in a row to make the holidays brighter for 65 deserving children and their families.
The 2016 “Shop With a Sheriff,” a joint partnership between CCSO and the Jewish Federation, was so successful during the holiday season that the Jewish Federation donor who has so generously provided the funds for the program has again stepped up to fund this year’s program.
Sixty-five children from the Golden Gate schools will shop for Christmas gifts for their families and for themselves while accompanied by deputies.
This program helps families in need and gives all the children the opportunity to spend quality time with the deputies, who will also follow up with the children and their families over the next year.
Jewish Federation President and CEO Jeffrey Felder said he was thrilled the anonymous donor was excited to be able to continue the holiday program. Sheriff Kevin Rambosk said he was delighted to see how excited deputies are to be a part of this program.
