Help Celebrate Safe Communities In Golden Gate Estates Tonight!

Post Date:10/12/2017 8:00 AM
Let’s celebrate!

Deputies will join forces with residents in celebrations across Collier County in early October to promote community safety.

Celebrating Safe Communities is designed to heighten crime prevention and drug prevention awareness; generate support for and participation in local anti-crime efforts; and strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office will celebrate the fight against crime by hosting family friendly events and activities that bring neighborhoods, communities, businesses, and law enforcement together.

Festivities will include cookouts, bounce houses, wall climbing, and refreshments. Informational kiosks and demonstrations by representatives from area emergency services and county government agencies will also be featured.

All of the events are free and open to the public.

Here’s a look at today's event:

Thursday, Oct. 12, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Forestry Fire Station, 710 Randall Blvd.

Kids can check out the CCSO D.A.R.E. car, meet Smokey Bear and enjoy music by DJ Harold De La Vega. Representatives of the Naples Pathways Coalition will provide bicycle tune-ups and bike safety education. Participants can also meet with members of the CCSO, Collier County Emergency Medical Services, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Collier County Supervisor of Elections, Humane Society Naples, and Greater Naples Fire District.

Food and refreshments will be served.
